But what is Koppie?

Crafted from local legumes.

People have been brewing coffee alternatives for centuries - from roots, grains, ... even acorns. But they missed a critical step: flavour creation starts before the roast!

At Koppie, we craft whole-bean brews from local legumes, using natural fermentation to build boldness from within.
Only THEN we roast our Koppie beans (...peas actually) similar to coffee to bring out that rich, roasty depth & complexity.

The end-result: a sustainable, coffee-ish brew - grounded in real ingredients, and crafted for your daily ritual. Oh, and if you’d like… yes, we can add the caffeine, too.
