we need you!

You’re our master of taste. You guard product quality, drive continuous flavour and experience improvements and propose new product and flavour concepts based on valued consumer insights.

You interact with baristas and master blenders at our customers to understand their needs. You work with our suppliers and partners to deliver the best products.

What’s on the menu?

Set-up and execute experiments (fermenting, blending and roasting) to improve overall product quality

Steer product development roadmap (incl. flavours, functionality, …) with CPO and customers

Assist our customers in achieving their goals by building relationships and showcasing active listening

Lead (technical) coordination with ingredient suppliers as well as production partners

Manage, maintain and own the laboratory including equipment, as well as required tools

Organise, lead and inspire our taste panel

Maintain clear documentation, feedback and reporting on experiment outcomes and next steps

The essential ingredients!

You have or can showcase:

A Bachelor or Master (preferred) degree in Bioscience Engineering and/or Food Technology or similar through significant clearly demonstrable experience

Strong knowledge of food and beverage ingredients, organoleptic profiles and application properties, as well as natural production techniques (roasting, fermenting, …)

Strong sensory skills, gifted with a sense for flavour matching and creation

An analytical, structured and methodological way of thinking to guide your creativity

Fluent & professional in English, other languages (Dutch, German, French) are a plus

A constructive, open attitude, with strong curiosity and a desire to learn and grow

[Nice to have] Strong interest and knowledge of the coffee world, including certification

[Nice to have] Interest to leverage AI in the support of product and process development

[Nice to have] Experience with tasting panels, consumer testing and feedback protocols

[Nice to have] Knowledge of food regulatory and safety aspects and documentation

What you can expect from us?

  • Contract type: Full time or minimum 4/5 | Permanent contract with 6 month trial period

  • Starting base salary €35k – €50k gross (Full time) + Net allowance, meal vouchers, healthcare plan

  • 20 days holidays + 12 additional days (ADV – Full time)

  • Open, high pace and challenging environment where you energy is contributing to something meaningful.

  • Minimal travel required of 10% - 2-3 days/month (trade fairs, customer visits, …)

  • Cannot have pulse allergy (soy, lupin) or lactose allergy
